I really enjoyed the metal clay workshop I attended in at Bliss Jewellery, in Barrie!

Metal clay is a a soft clay. It is a combination of small particles of metal, (silver, gold, copper or bronze), an organic binder, and water.

We learned how to shape, texture and form the clay. Once the clay was dried, it was fired in a kiln. This causes the binder to burn away and the metal particles to fuse, which then creates a solid metal piece.

I made a couple pendants and earrings. 🙂
