Caves are like the quiet center of our hearts, where our inner truth finally meets our outer reality. They act as hidden paths to our deepest thoughts and feelings, allowing those secret strengths to eventually reach the light.

When the world dismisses us, the cave offers us the stillness we need to awaken our inner power and our voice before we share them with the world.

About Me

In my early years, I was very lost, unsure what to pursue in my studies or career.

I went on to earn a travel & tourism diploma and started working at the head office of an airline company. It didn’t take long to realize that this wasn’t where I was meant to be, and I felt a strong pull to move on. From there, I took one dead-end job after the next, unsure which path to pursue. But through all that uncertainty, the one thing that brought me joy was uplifting others. Helping others gave me a sense of direction and the purpose I was missing. It distracted me from my own worries and gave me a reason to keep going.

Over the years, I’ve participated in many events that raise awareness for and support various causes. I’ve volunteered at various charity and non-profit organizations such as:  The Black Creek Community Farm, The Children’s Breakfast Club, and Endometriosis Events. My longest volunteer role was at a hospital, where I worked in the Emergency Department.

My adventure into artmaking

The remarkably transformative power of art

It wasn’t until much later in life, during a health crisis, that my childhood passion for arts and crafts became unexpectedly reignited. I eventually decided that I needed a space where I could share my creations, my journey, and encourage others facing their own uphill battles to keep moving forward.

So, I created The Crafty Cavern.

In addition to my own self-taught practice, I’ve studied at George Brown College and the Toronto School of Art. I’ve taken courses, classes and workshops in sewing, photography, metal clay, and needle felting.

I’m often up till the wee hours, experimenting with various mediums and materials; the act of creating is a calming and therapeutic experience for me. When I am in my creative space, I feel a deep sense of comfort and fulfilment.

Thank you for visiting.

I hope you find something that inspires you.
