I really enjoyed the metal clay workshop I attended at Bliss Jewellery, in Barrie!

Metal clay is a combination of small particles of metal, (silver, gold, copper or bronze), an organic binder, and water. Metal clay is a soft clay and great for beginners as it’s very easy to work with.

We learned how to shape, texture and form the clay. Once the clay was dried, it was fired in a kiln. This causes the binder to burn away and the metal particles to fuse, which then creates a solid metal piece.

I made a couple pendants and earrings. 🙂
