The “Sheep Puff” workshop, at Black Creek Pioneer Village was one of my favourites!
It was my first time needle felting and I enjoyed the process of turning wool into a cute little sheep, one stab at a time. Felting needles have small barbs which catch on the fibre, and when stabbed through wool, they push them together. The more you stab, the more it turns the wool into a solid felt.
At the end of the workshop we took a photo of all our little sheep. I put the finishing touches on mine at home by adding more wool and a little carrot. I will definitely be making more of these cute creations in the near future!
